RPG, Wargames, Pandemic and a little girl: or how did Alavar Miniatures started?

Hey guys,

Alavar here and I want to share how it all started and the reasons why this project is so important and involves so much dedication from me and our team of artists.

Around my 10 or 12 years old I got to know RPG games and I was fascinated.

I played my first adventure one day and the next I wanted to tell the story and be the master of the game.

Years later I met the Wargames, Tolkien and their books filled with complex mythologies. And those Peter Jackson movies that blew my mind with an irresistible aesthetic.

I was enchanted by miniatures, Celtic and Germanic myths, and started to incorporate all of this in a universe that I created little by little, without pretensions, to set the games of my RPG group.

During a very difficult phase of my life, I had to get rid of my entire collection of miniatures and distance myself from this universe.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit I found myself, at home, in complete isolation, with my wife and my 6-year-old stepdaughter named Lulu.

So I decided to create an RPG game, using miniatures, to connect and have fun with the little princess Lulu. And the universe of Alavar and its legends are part of our lives again.

And after a couple of years of thinking and imagining what it would be like, here we are. And Lulu became a high-level warrior princess and she’s part of everything you’ll find here!

Alavar is not “my” world. It is a universe created based on Celtic and Germanic myths, but it gathers impressions, ideas and collaboration of many players who passed by my game table and I hope that we can count on your support and collaboration to expand this universe and deliver miniatures that really are thought and modeled with a very positive energy!

We are very happy about it and hope you enjoy Legends of Alavar!
